My work has always centred on one thing - strategy that creates real impact.
After the Grenfell Tower fire, I led the only non-statutory body supporting victims. That experience reshaped how I think about leadership and empathy. It even led to a call from the New Zealand Ministry after the Christchurch attacks, where I met the mayor to share what we learned from Grenfell - helping them avoid the same mistakes.
Since then, I’ve worked across sectors - from aid trips in Somaliland to charity treks on the Great Wall of China (and a few runs I’ll never enjoy).
I went on to build Pilgrim (which the CEO of Nusuk said he loves!). It’s now the largest organisation helping people fulfil the fifth pillar of Islam through content, guidance, and tools used by millions.
I spent nearly a decade at LaunchGood, helping it grow from $21 million to over $800 million raised - scaling teams, systems, and culture along the way.
These days, life’s a mix of work and family - two kids under two keep me grounded and remind me daily what really matters.
Professionally, I focus on what I’ve always loved: strategy.
I consult apps like Quranly, advise payment platforms, guide charities, and build side projects like mydualist.
Different projects, same thread — clarity, trust, and building things that last.
